Kosher Supervision of America is a not-for-profit Kashrus agency recognized by rabbinical associations throughout the world."Kosher" is a Hebrew term originally used to denote food that is fit and proper. It refers to the set of Jewish dietary laws and regulations that govern the selection, packaging and preparation of food. It means that a given product is permitted or acceptable for consumption within this Code of Jewish Law. For those who follow this code, it is done for both health and religious reasons. Given the complex nature of the laws of Judaism one should consult a Rabbi when a personal question of Kosher may arise.
